Question on using data from another list within a workflow

Background:
MOSS 2007, SPD 2007.
I have a user request workflow which is initiated when a new item is created in a user request list. The user is required to select a 'location' when submitting the form (this form is used by 10 different locations in the USA). Depending on the type of request an approval may be needed and I send an email to a designated approver based on the location that was selected by the user. I currently am using hard-coded email addresses for the approvers in my workflow. I 'set' a field with the email address once it is determined in the workflow and in later steps use that field in the email message.

What I would like to do is use another list to allow us to maintain the approvers, their appropriate email address, and the location they are allowed to approve requests.

How do I get the workflow to go look at the other list and pull in the email address based on the location of the current item?

I keep thinking I am close to making this work in SPD, but I can't seem to get it right.

UPDATE: Not really sure what changed (because I tried this earlier) but I have it working now. Here is what I did:
1. Set a field to and then selected the 'other list' as Source in the Lookup Details
2. Selected the field in that source that I want used in the original list for the Field of the Lookup Details
3. Under Find the List Item, I used the other list Location in the Field selection
4. Used the current list Location in the Value selection

The appropriate approver is pulled from my "approval maintenance" list and placed into the current list item in my user request list.
