Hi there,
I'm really struggeling on designing the left navigation, are there any css templates avaible online that you know of? what i actually want to do is that i want to split the left navigation where each site gets its own box. I'm attaching my idea. Please let me know if you have any idea on how i can accomplish this.

Hi Jean, yes i understand - if you select to display only the navigation items below the current site, in the browser the nav will not show up like the your included image, right?
One way to solve this is to use SharePoint:SPLinkButton, to show the accutal site linkable, and merge that one with the SharePoint:AspMenu. Try to use this with divs or html, try something like this down here:
